Congressman Jefferson Shreve, who represents Indiana's 5th congressional district, shared updates on his recent activities and legislative accomplishments through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) in September 2025.

On September 13, Shreve reflected on his outreach efforts across Indiana, stating, "I participated in 45 gatherings with Hoosiers last month during my 'Hoosier Heartland Tour.' There was a consistent message: Hoosiers want to live in a nation that is safe, affordable, and responsive to their needs. I welcomed these opportunities to report back on my work in DC."

Three days later, on September 16, Shreve announced the passage of his first bill in Congress. He wrote, "Proud to announce my first bill has passed Congress! The bipartisan CASE Act cuts wasteful courthouse spending & protects taxpayer dollars. A win for fiscal responsibility + Hoosier common sense. https://t.co/bbF1Xe8VeL" This legislation reflects ongoing efforts by lawmakers to address government spending and promote fiscal responsibility.

Later that same day, Shreve described a meeting with Secretary Sean Duffy regarding infrastructure projects in Indiana. In his post he stated, "I met with Secretary Sean Duffy for an aerial tour of the I-69 completion in Indiana. As a member of @TransportGOP, I’ll continue pushing for federal support to finish this vital highway.

Secretary Duffy is leading the Administration’s effort to make sure America is building https://t.co/ISbtXMkNl9" The completion of Interstate 69 is considered a major infrastructure priority for both state and federal officials.

Jefferson Shreve began serving as U.S. Representative for Indiana's 5th district after winning election in November 2024. The CASE Act marks his initial legislative achievement since taking office.
